About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and the independent developer in Latvia who makes and runs tinysun ("we"). They cover the tinysun app and its service. By using tinysun you agree to them, so please read them. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
tinysun is for people aged 18 and over. By using it, you confirm that you are.
Not therapy, not a crisis service
tinysun helps you reflect on your week. It isn't a medical device, therapy, counselling or a crisis service. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything, and it isn't a replacement for a professional.
The tiny sun may suggest reaching out to real people or to emergency services, but it can't detect every crisis, and nobody is watching your talks as they happen. If you or someone else is in danger, call 112 in the EU or your local emergency number.
Talking to an AI
The tiny sun is an AI, not a person. Its replies, recaps, questions, memories and insights are generated automatically. They can be incomplete or wrong, and they're offered as questions and suggestions, not facts or advice. Please don't rely on them for medical, legal, financial or other important decisions.
You decide what it remembers: you can accept, edit or remove memories. What it remembers about other people is your own view of them, not a statement of fact.
Your account
Your first talk doesn't need an account. To keep it and to have more talks, sign in with Apple, Google or an email code. Keep your phone and your sign-in secure, because anyone with them can read your talks. Tell us at hello@tinysun.app if you think someone else has got in.
A first talk you don't save to an account is deleted after 30 days.
Talks and prices
Free talks
Your first three talks are free; the first doesn't need an account. There's no free trial after that.
Paid talks
- Monthly plan: €14.99 a month for five talks in each monthly period (four for your weekly rhythm and one extra). It renews automatically until you cancel. Unused talks don't carry over, and further talks in the same period are €4.99 each.
- Single talk: €4.99, for one talk and its review. Nothing renews.
Prices include VAT where it applies and may differ in your country; the App Store shows the price before you pay. If we change the price of the monthly plan, Apple will tell you before it affects your subscription.
What counts as a talk
- A talk is one conversation, counted when it starts.
- You can pause a talk and continue it later. It still counts as one.
- You get the talk back if the voice connection never worked, if it was very short (under two minutes with fewer than two things said by you), or if you delete it before it counted.
Never locked
Everything you've already said stays yours: your recaps, people pages and export are never locked behind payment, and a review is never held back until you pay.
Paying, cancelling and refunds
All payments go through Apple's App Store, under Apple's terms. Cancel the monthly plan in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before it renews; it then stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting your tinysun account doesn't cancel the subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Talks are digital content you can use straight away. When you buy, you ask us to start right away, and you understand that you then lose the EU 14-day right of withdrawal for that purchase. This doesn't affect your other rights as a consumer.
Your content
What you say, and what tinysun makes from it, belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to run tinysun for you, as our Privacy policy describes. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for the few records the Privacy policy says we keep.
tinysun itself, including the app, the tiny sun character, the design and the name, belongs to us. You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Using tinysun fairly
Please don't:
- break the law with it, or use it to harass, threaten or harm anyone;
- try to get into other people's accounts, our systems, or the AI models behind tinysun, or overload or disrupt them;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, or use bots or scripts to talk to it;
- use it on behalf of someone else without their permission.
If you seriously or repeatedly break these rules, we may suspend or close your account. We'll tell you why, unless the law or safety prevents it.
Changes and ending
tinysun is new, and we'll keep improving it, so features may change. If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect. If you don't agree, you can stop using tinysun and delete your account.
You can stop at any time: delete your account in Settings, and cancel any subscription with Apple. If we ever shut tinysun down, we'll tell you in good time, so you can get a copy of what's yours first.
Liability
We work to keep tinysun available and correct, but we can't promise it will always work or be free of mistakes, especially the AI's.
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable, or for decisions you make based on what the AI says. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing takes away your rights as a consumer.
Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for tinysun or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and isn't responsible for any claims relating to it, such as product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. If the app fails to meet any warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You confirm that you're not in a country under a US government embargo and aren't on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Latvia. If you live in another country of the European Union, you also keep the protection of the consumer laws there, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
If something goes wrong, please write to us first at hello@tinysun.app, and we'll try to sort it out. If that doesn't work, you can turn to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre of Latvia (PTAC) or the consumer authority where you live.
